Production Blog #2 - Final Task

Image
Hey guys welcome back to another blog. Today we'll be going over the props and costumes we decided to use for our film. Our story centers around a regular everyday office worker and the hitman that is attempting to kill him. We wanted the costumes to reflect that. For our protagonist we decided on a very unassuming look. Kaki pants and a collared checkered sweater. We want him to look like a completely normal person and the soft colors and clothes will give him a softer more innocent vibe. A classic protagonist. For the hitman he'll be wearing an all black suit and a mask. The dark colors of his suit contrast with the light colors of the main character. it also helps give him a menacing vibe. We'll also have an investigator at the crime scenes at the end. For props we have a prop gun with a silencer, prop knife, caution tape, and fake blood. The silenced gun is for the hitman. The prop knife will play a very important role in the story since there will be a struggle scene...

Production Blog #1 - Final Task

Hey guys welcome back I'm excited to bring you guys back to my first production blog for my short film. This blog will be going over the locations we looked at when deciding were to shoot scenes for our film. We first looked at down town Fort Lauderdale at night. We think this is a great location to film because it has a metropolitan look giving our film a feeling of being alive. We looked at other locations in the greater Fort Lauderdale area such as Lauderdale by the sea but we agreed the beach/summery vibe is not what we need for this film. We also went to down town Miami, but we ended up deciding to film the city scenes of our film in down town Fort Lauderdale. We feel like down town Fort Lauderdale is perfect because it has the perfect city life vibe while also not being too flashy and bright. It has a sort of intimate darkness to it due to all the warm lighting. Next for the indoor scenes we decided on my partner Gabe's house. There's plenty of space and his house h...
