Production Blog #7 - Final Task

 




 Hello and Welcome back to the production blogs. As we are nearing the end of the filming series we are now into a new chapter, editing. Editing plays a crucial role in filming because without editing. So first I overlooked all the clips we have filmed throughout the span of this filming process and checked to make sure they were alright to use and I started the editing process. I wanted to make sure that the clips flowed through in the order I had chosen for them. So I started with the House then moved on to the Interviewing area and finally the downtown part I had made sure to drag the clips and put them in the correct spots and When I first started editing I had alot of footage to go by and I just want to be able to have the 5 minute mark down. Now that I have dragged the clips I did some adjustments at first to be able to understand the scenes without having those cuts in place. Now that I have all the base stuff ready to begin editing, now we can move on to the next stuff. For example, I'm thinking about adding some music to set the mood! I'll need to find some tracks that fit each scene. Also, some of the interview parts might need some text overlays to help people understand who's talking. I'm also considering adding some cool transitions between the house, interview, and downtown scenes. Maybe a wipe or a dissolve? I'll have to play around with them and see what looks best. And of course, I'll need to pay close attention to the audio levels to make sure everything sounds clear and balanced. This is all very exciting, and I can't wait to see the final video.  Hey Blog. I've been working up ideas for my commercial and I actually started gathering some footage. I really love exercise and especially going to the gym and I figured that the best course was to gather new footage instead of using old ones simply because the quality would be much better and my strength and technique has changed drastically. But I think I might add some old videos to compare to now so I have something intriguing for my audience showing my growth and progress. Production Blog: Planning, gathering footage for the first few scenes

 Hey blog. This week I will start to gather footage for me and my teammates music video. This week I'm really going to focus on gathering footage for the first few scenes. The first scenes are split between the three of us. I need a sequence of me waking up early, preparing myself breakfast or a protein shake. I also need footage of me going for a morning jog. The overall plan isn't over complicated but the only issue is the time of day we want to shoot. We all agree that the dark of the night or early morning really fits the theme perfectly. In our video we are trying to translate the mindset of fitness and exercise. The mentality you need to be great. The music and the dark along with the message we're trying to convey. The mentality it takes has a certain intensity. It's almost as if there's a weight in your mind and you feel this drive to push yourself. Production Blog: Editing, visuals

 Hey blog. After gathering all the footage for our music video we have began the editing process. As stated before we are using CapCut to create and edit our music video. CapCut is honestly the best choice considering me and my teammates have very different schedules and life is unpredictable. It will allow us to edit our video in places we may not be able to bring a laptop. For the visual aspect of our video, we are aiming for a more dark and intense look. The lighting is a very important aspect. Warm lighting and cool lighting are very different. warm lighting gives a more intense atmosphere I believe. While cool lighting has a more relaxed but serious atmosphere. For our video we will be using a mixture of both to add contrast. We will most likely use warm lighting for the morning scenes both indoors and outside during the jog. This is because warm lighting is more associated with home and street lights.
