Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full-length movie

Short Film: In This film the plot is about a a rag doll who is one of the last of his kind in a post apocalyptic Earth who is constantly being hunted a cat being who has taken the souls of his friend.

Throughout the film the main character "9" is able to develop courage in himself which helps him eventually take down the cat beast that kills his friend as shown in a flashback. The use of no dialogue adds to the mysterious vibe of the film making it seem unsure of whats going on

Long Film: In This film 9 is created by a scientist as a stitch punk, he is the final stitch punk out of the 9 that was created, after he was created he managed to meet 2 who is a scientist who gave him a voice box. Shortly after, 2 gets captured by the cat beast and 9 is rescued by 5 and he joins the other stitch punks which are led by 1, when 9 and 5 try to go back and save 2 which was against l's orders they end up getting 2 killed and have their sanctuary get destroyed, eventually the machine comes to look and kill them and ends up killing 5 and 6, eventually 9 finds out he can finish the machine using the talisman and 1 sacrifices himself into the machine just so 9 can do so. After the machine was destroyed rain comes back into the world mixed with bacteria certifying life once again. The long films had multiple characters with character development coming especially from character 1 who sacrificed himself for the greater good. The film also included voice roles that added to the story line and made the story as understanding as possible. The Dark atmosphere in the film adds to the mysterious and thrilling part of the movie helping the audience staying engaged with the film

Comparison: The Difference between the Short film and Long film is very long, so I will summarize this over a few points. To begin with the plot of both films differs as the in the end of the short film 9's goal was just to face his fears and get rid of the cat beast, whereas in the other film the goal was to get rid of a machine that got rid of mankind and bring back the Earth to normality. Another difference is that the short film had no dialogue or voice action where as in the long film there was voice acting, this is understandable as in a long film it would make sense to have voice acting so the film wouldn't be voice less. I enjoyed the long film better as the plot was longer, i could build a proper relationship with the characters and truly understand them and I liked how in the end everything was eventually going to go back to normal
