Research: How to make a short film
I will be going over my takeaways from the video "How to make a short film" To begin I saw that it is important to write scripts that could be manageable and easy to direct, whereas if it was costly and expensive it would be hard to deliver. I learned that it is good to plan setups and payoffs in action and emotional parts of the story, this helps the audience enjoy their viewing experience. Another takeaway is that it is important to establish a tone in the movie, it is important as it maintains audience engagement, Casting effectively as well, the right actors will be able to deliver impactful performances and bring the story to life. One of the most important take away I got was being able to manage the pace of the film when editing, making sure the story flows well and it is able to tell the story in a good way making a very good final product, as well as maintaining an extra perspective in post production editing having other people look at the film at different perspectives to get a good idea of how your film looks. I envision this helping me when I have to write up a script so I can keep the script simple and easy to direct, as well cast the right actors in helping the film come to life and engage with the audience, I envision myself editing the film at a proper pace and being able to help it flow well throughout the entire short film. All in all this video really helped established how a short film could be executed well and how you can make it as good as you possibly can.
