Hey blog. After gathering all the footage for our music video we have began the editing process. As stated before we are using CapCut to create and edit our music video. CapCut is honestly the best choice considering me and my teammates have very different schedules and life is unpredictable. It will allow us to edit our video in places we may not be able to bring a laptop. For the visual aspect of our video, we are aiming for a more dark and intense look. The lighting is a very important aspect. Warm lighting and cool lighting are very different. warm lighting gives a more intense atmosphere I believe. While cool lighting has a more relaxed but serious atmosphere. For our video we will be using a mixture of both to add contrast. We will most likely use warm lighting for the morning scenes both indoors and outside during the jog. This is because warm lighting is more associated with home and street lights. My product is a unique film in its own right. My product represents social groups and issues by using extensive character and world building conventions such as costume, dialogue, acting, and location. In this case, my product is representing the upper class of society and the apathy and bigotry towards others one may develop with economic prosperity. Our main character is a wealthy man living on the coast of south Florida. The use of camera shots establishes the setting as a large modern house with luxury cars in the front and a designer interior within. The use of costumes, a blue and white loose-fit floral shirt with white linen pants gives the appearance of a wealthy and laid back man who cares for the luxuries in life. On the other hand the antagonist is seen in a typical suit worn by office workers with a dirty rag over his shoulder and dirt smeared hands, clearly representing his lower economic status.
