Intro Blog f/r Music Video


 Hey blog its me again. I've finished my commercial and I'm quite proud of my work. This time I'll be taking you through the process of creating my music video.  My name is Gabriel Lance Reyes but ever since the 6th grade everyone calls me Lance. I love working out especially at the gym with friends its honestly one of my favorite hobbies. I can only work with music or a video in the background it really helps me focus. I really enjoy writing mostly horror short stories, I've loved horror movies. I love music more than anything I need it in every second of my life. I love binge watching movies at night especially action/fantasy and i love fantasy in general. I love lifting to music and especially at night. I don't like country music or some modern rap but I love music from the 80's and 70's especially. Love walks at night they really help me destress and in general i consider myself of more of a night person. I've never really been a technology kind of person but I love designing things. Whether its a bottle rocket or fixing a desk I've always loved building things with my hands. I consider myself pretty active I enjoy Tennis and Volleyball but my passion has always been boxing and combat sports. They are the only sports I enjoy and don't get nervous in. When I put on the gloves and step into the ring I feel pumped and ready to fight I don't get nervous like I do with sports like basketball or soccer. I've been in love with boxing since I was little. Being Filipino I grew up seeing Manny Pacquiao and watching Rocky. It was honestly because of those fights and movies that I fell in love with the sport, despite the dangers. Ironically I don't like fighting outside the boxing gym if I don't have to, but the feeling of putting on the gloves and getting yourself into the mindset before a fight, even just training. It's something I love.

 Hey Blog. I've been working up ideas for my commercial and I actually started gathering some footage. I really love exercise and especially going to the gym and I figured that the best course was to gather new footage instead of using old ones simply because the quality would be much better and my strength and technique has changed drastically. But I think I might add some old videos to compare to now so I have something intriguing for my audience showing my growth and progress. A few days ago I went to the gym with some friends of mine to gather some footage but we didn't end up gathering much it was our first time lifting together in a while and to be honest we got side tracked. Afterwards wasn't exactly productive either we went to this 7/11 down the street and got slushies and candy, so not exactly the ideal things to eat after a workout session. Production Blog: Planning, gathering footage for the first few scenes

 Hey blog. This week I will start to gather footage for me and my teammates music video. This week I'm really going to focus on gathering footage for the first few scenes. The first scenes are split between the three of us. I need a sequence of me waking up early, preparing myself breakfast or a protein shake. I also need footage of me going for a morning jog. The overall plan isn't over complicated but the only issue is the time of day we want to shoot. We all agree that the dark of the night or early morning really fits the theme perfectly. In our video we are trying to translate the mindset of fitness and exercise. The mentality you need to be great. The music and the dark along with the message we're trying to convey. The mentality it takes has a certain intensity. It's almost as if there's a weight in your mind and you feel this drive to push yourself.
